April 26th Conference

The Joy of our Lord Jesus was overflowing in NTBC - The Master's Academy as we held our second Doctor in Christ meeting. We thank the Broward campus of The Gathering Place for allowing us to display the works of our Lord Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit in us and through us. It was a day to rejoice, praise, and worship in gratitude.

Pastor Dino Pedrone opened the meeting in a warm welcoming prayer. Patrice Brown, who has an exceptional voice, sang and opened our worship. I shared my testimony of salvation and restoration by Christ and encouraged doctors to fulfill God's plan and purpose in their lives by surrendering to our Lord Jesus. Pastor Burkholder led us in prayer for the Doctors in Christ ministry and for missionary work in general. Pastor Henry Patino delivered the Word in a powerful and moving sermon. Many people were touched. Amy and Armando Gomara performed a potpourri of charismatic Christian songs that were full of energy and passion. Tely Sapayo, a liver transplant survivor, gave a powerful testimony of the Lord's work in her life and called us to faith above all. Meshawn Senior performed three touching worship songs. Her song selection was excellent. Not only does she sing beautifully, but attendees were deeply touched. Pastor King offered a Bible-based spiritual prayer for all doctors and nurses at the meeting. Deacon Jose Manuel Gordilla said a special prayer for the sick and rejoiced about the unity of the body of Christ which was evident at our meeting. Finally, the Ministry of Doctors in Christ was revealed in detail. Our last mission trip to Santo Domingo was exposed by video and a personal testimony from Dr. Juan Otero. The meeting was closed with one last song with all the artists on stage and the body of Christ singing “Above All”.

Friends, if you were not there you missed a special moment. Truly I say to you this was more than just a conference. This was a display of heaven on earth. You could touch the love of Christ. Tears rolled with every testimony. Prayers touched the sick. Jesus Christ was glorified each and every moment. His Grace fell upon us and we felt it. We had White brothers, Afro-American brothers, Latino brothers, African brothers, Island brothers, Jewish brothers. We had people there from all denominations and churches -- Catholics, Baptists, Pentecostals, non-denominational, Messianic Jews, and more. I am sure that God was pleased to see the Bride of His Son intact, healthy, and willing to come together for Kingdom work. We all love Him because He loved us first.

Our eyes now turn to two things. First, establishing a prayer tree to be activated by anyone who needs divine intervention and healing. We are putting together the tree with the prayer warrior information obtained at the meeting. Second, we are preparing for Argentina. We need money to buy medicines. We need winter clothing. We need dentists, doctors, nurses, and evangelists. We will be in communication though the web site and e-mails. Once again, I thank all who attended our meeting as well as all who participated and made it a huge success. See you next time!

In His hands forever,

Jorge W. Gomez, M.D.
