Doctors In Christ
It is 11:00 p.m. on a Friday night and I can not sleep thinking of how our great our Lord is. I am full of anticipation for our first mission trip to the Dominican Republic. I will leave on Monday ahead of the team with money to buy the anti-parasitic medication that will treat over 700 people. We are 15 missionaries each carrying two 50 lbs bags full of medicines and clothing for the relief o the poor.
We have thousands of dollars of donated medicines in our possession. We are going to make many children happy with gifts of baseball bats, balls, gloves and helmets, notebook and pens. You know how Dominicans love baseball! You and I know that we carry something much more precious than that. We carry the Love of our Lord Jesus.
We will bring His Light and His Joy to remote places where people need it most. We will win souls for the King!
Pray for us! Thank you to all who have contributed one way or another. With money, time or Prayer. May His Grace bathe you and fill you.
In His name we go. With His blessing we will return. See you soon.

Doctors In Christ
The time is approaching for our first mission trip to San Pedro de
Macoris and our follow up meeting. Be on the lookout for important e-mails next week. This is what tis going to happen. Tomorrow evening I will be sending you the final price per person that will include airplane ticket, all-inclusive hotel accommodations and transportation. You will have until Monday March 3 to call Cynthia Serralta to arrange payment and room accommodations. The mission group will be closed March 3 at 5:00 p.m. The people who have signed to go will meet in early and late March prior to the mission.
I had the pleasure to meet Dr Pancheta Wilson over the weekend.
This was a divine appointment. In addition to being an Internist with a heart for Christ and spreading the Gospel, Dr Wilson is also a teacher willing to equip members of Doctors In Christ for Spiritual healing and special prayers for patients. I would like to combine the 2 work meeting prior to the mission with special seminars from Dr Wilson. What is going to make our organization different from other evangelical- medical organizations is the fact that the doctors, nurses and missionaries themselves will be the evangelist and will become channels for the power of Holy Sprit to perform healing on the sick beyond what conventional medicine has to offer.
Finally, to celebrate the success the Lord will bring in salvation of souls and healing of the sick, we will have our quarterly meeting Saturday, April 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Palace (see address below). We will have live praise music and worship as well as guest speakers and food. It will be a glorious time to celebrate the work of the Lord Jesus and to love Him and praise Him even more.

Dear brothers and Sisters,
Tomorrow, Doctors In Christ will have a very special day. We will have our first Board meeting. First, let me announce that Mr. Marlon Bryan has accepted a position on our Board. Mr. Bryan is a lawyer that will bring much needed legal advise to our organization. Most of all, I see Marlon having a heart for the Lord and for service. We are truly fortunate to have such a strong Board of directors. The Holy Spirit has been speaking to Michael and has provided him with a vision to make Doctors In Christ a productive Evangelistic Ministry here in our own back yard as well as abroad. I will share details with you as soon as possible.
Please be aware that Doctors In Christ has a new office address:
Doctors In Christ

You can make all financial contributions to this new address.
Finally, I want you to mark April 26 on your calendar with tentative hours of 10:00 am to 1:00 p.m.. We are planning to have a half day Doctors In Christ conference and lunch. We plan to have live music, guest speakers and share with you our Santo Domingo mission as well as planing the Argentina mission. You will be receiving further e-mails on this. Please pray for us.

Doctors In Christ
As you know the start of every ministry is difficult. So far our Lord Jesus have surrounded me of a group of men and women that are going to work for the Kingdom and are going to impact many lives and many souls. I ask all of you to please search your heart and see what king of financial contribution can be made immediately in order to pay for the cost of the web site, logo, business cards, accounting fees, corporate fees etc. Also I would like all of you to ask 2 questions to every person you encounter. Do you know of any doctor that has a heart for Christ or for missions? Do you know anyone who has a heart to donate money to a Christian organization for missions work. Every person that you see, speak with or come in contact with should be asked those 2 questions.
I would like all doctors to go to each hospital they work with or each clinic they are associated with and ask those 2 questions to nurses or staff. Do not ask people directly for money. I am doing that to you out of desperation because the bill are coming and the funds are 0.0$. The way to approach people is to ask - do you know someone who would be willing to donate money or to work. That way they will save face if they themselves are not interested.
Please send contributions to:
Doctors In Christ, Inc.

May the love and peace of our Savior be with you always,
Jorge

Dear brothers and sisters,
The work has begun to put together the San Pedro De Macoris 2008 mission trip. We have made contact with our brothers from the Dominican Republic. Pastor Sabino has responded with the following e-mail( see below).. We have finalized the dates. April 4-7. Keep an eye out for the e-mails and the announcement of a working meeting. May the Lord Bless you.
ANNOUNCEMENT: BROTHER JOSE OZAGA HAS ACCEPTED THE POSITION OF TREASURER AND HE WILL ALSO SIT ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS. Brother Ozaga was placed in my heart by the Holy Spirit because of his honesty, administrative skills and his ardent walk with the Lord. I am sure that Jose is going to be a real blessing to the DIC Ministry.
We are looking for 7 people of diverse skills and background to form the Board of Directors in order to oversee the Ministry and make sure that the mission statement is carried out. So far, brothers Michael Livsky, Jose Ozaga and Sergio Cabrera have accepted the position. Other members have been asked and are in prayer about accepting the position. We need to pray that the Holy Spirit is the one selecting these members for the Glory of His Ministry.
Today a recieved an e-mail for Dr. Otero where he gave me a new date for all of you to come in the mission, it is april 4 to 7. I do not think we are really having proble for this date.
What we used to do in the past is as follow:
The morning hour: We usually take first ours of the day to pray, praise the lord and claim in prayer for the activities we will be doing.
In the day time: Do the Operativo Medico, where besides we assisted the phiisical needs also availed ourselves to share the gospel with the assisting people.
In the night time: Show a movie like the Passion of Mel Gibson or even other one.
I will wait until the new date be confirmed so I can send you the program with all the details in a daily basis.
With respect to some women who want to come but may not afford a hotel stay, if you send me the number of them and status I will se where we can house them. Dr. Otero also asked me to start checking the best hotel stay.
Best regards,
Sabino.
